There have been a couple of TV “special reports” lately on what Jesus looked like. I have in my files (somewhere) a picture of Jesus on the front cover of Popular Mechanics magazine that I like. It was a forensic anthropologist’s rendering of what a typical Jewish man of the first century would look like. Olive complexion, dark, short hair with a bit of a beard, probably about 5’, 8-10’’ tall Nothing like the popular “pictures” that keep popping up on pizza’s and in the clouds… much less the ones that appear on most every country church in my old South.
