Solomon confessed in that troubled, confused, doubting and searching period of his life that he despaired that “there is no new thing under the sun” (Ecclesiastes 1:9). But then in the greatest depths of despair Jeremiah declared that “the Lord’s mercies. . . are new every morning” (Lamentations 3:22-23). I was reminded of that promise in the pre-dawn beauty of this morning as we drove to dialysis.
But when they got Harriet all hooked up to the new permcath, it stopped working. I had to remind myself that the passage in Lamentations also declares that “great is thy faithfulness”. Harriet and I declared again that HE is our treasure and HE is our hope and we are trusting in HIS mercies for this day.
We are back home awaiting a call from the clinic as to what our next move should be.
Thank you for Praying Specifically for us and for our doctors. Make it a prayer of thanksgiving for all HIS mercies to us!
