Harriet was in surgery on Wednesday morning where the doctor was able to “repair” the access in her right forearm by splicing a new section of artificial vein beside the old one. Harriet had developed an abscess on the implanted graft of her dialysis shunt. This became infected and they began strong IV antibiotics on Friday. Yep, we made another milestone today. 92 years of marriage. I wanted to get Harriet an appropriate anniversary card and found just the right one – a BIG THANK YOU card. When I told daughter Julieann about it, she said I really should have given her a trophy.
