Do you have a staple puller?

Harriet has an appointment with the surgeon tomorrow to have the staples removed from her arm. There are 18 of the big ugly things and they have never stopped hurting since they were put in 2 weeks ago. Also, the new implant in her arm, about 12 inches of a synthetic vein or artery, hurts constantly. Pray that the removal of the staples will not be too painful and that the arm will heal sufficiently that she will be pain free and the new access will be useable on schedule -6 weeks after surgery.

I had great liberty to preach God’s wonderful Word on the Lord’s Day at the First Baptist Church. The pastor was called to Arkansas to perform the funeral of a young nephew. This Lord’s Day I will be preaching at another church here on the beach.

Thanks to those of you who pray!

  1. Will be praying as Hariett has the stapels removed. From what Harold says that can be painful. Saw the picture of her arm… my, my! She has gone thru so much. And you too. We do lift you up in our prayers. Glad to hear you had a good “preachin” Sunday at First
Baptist. We had good services yesterday. The Gospel Tones came and sang at Chapel. Steven Conrad was to come and sing at Pathways in the afternoon. He did not come so I wondered. This a.m. I found out that his dear little 5 yr. old daughter had died in her sleep during the night. Please pray for Steven and his family. The funeral was today. We are doing well, just busy. But we have so much to be thankful for and are rejoicing in the Lord. Love, Harold and Ruthie

  2. Please know that you both are in our prayers and the prayers of your Bible Study Class, “potter’s Clay” at FBC, Leesburg.
Reseachers in pain management have a lot more work to do!
