Harriet has an appointment with the surgeon tomorrow to have the staples removed from her arm. There are 18 of the big ugly things and they have never stopped hurting since they were put in 2 weeks ago. Also, the new implant in her arm, about 12 inches of a synthetic vein or artery, hurts [...]

Harriet continues to make very slow progress in recovering from the latest surgery. The arm still looks like the leftovers from a bad accident in the butcher shop but they assure us that it is healing as it should. It still gives her lots of pain.

Harriet is having real difficulty ‘bouncing back’ from the surgery. Her arm is very sore and she has battled nausea and chest pains again. Her blood pressure dropped to 61/39 at dialysis this morning but they were able to get it back up to 98/70. They don’t like to let her [...]
